In the spring of 2011 I began working at Google as an Art Director managing a team of designers. Our focus was updating a cohesive visual design style across platforms / Google products as well as documenting and defining what that style was to be. After 18 months of work, and thousands of icons and logos, we created the Google Visual Asset Guideline. The guideline defines our visual design, and provides the assets / information needed in order to create any visuals for Google products or marketing collateral.
