YOUTUBE BRAND BOOK

The web is ever changing, so once my team began redesigning YouTube’s identity we took care in researching and documenting YouTube’s design history. This 326 page Smyth Sewn bound book, created in partnership with Hybrid Design, serves as a historical document capturing YouTube from 2005 to 2021.

The book was created as a companion piece to our internal brand standards, as a way to remind people and inspire them. The first edition includes 2000 copies.

Contained within is the story of the company’s foundation and growth, logo history, design philosophy, iconography, typography, color palettes, imagery - illustration, patterns, photography, as well as example of visual design application.

Specs

The book was printed in California on: 80# McCoy Gloss, 80# Keaykolour pastel blue, 80# Mohawk superfine eggshell ultra, and 70# Mohawk via light grey smooth.
